FAQ
Product & Fit
How do I know if this fits my gun model?
Each product description lists what models an item is for. If there are any questions, shoot us a message.
What guns do your vise blocks fit?
We make non-marring vise blocks for Glock (17/19, 20/41 and 43X/48), 1911, M&P 2.0 9mm and M&P Shield 9mm slides, AR-15, AR-10, AK-47 and AK-74. Browse the catalog for the full list.
What if it doesn't fit?
Let us know, and we can add it to our list of items to research — and we'll work with you to get it fixed, or your money back.
What material do you print with, and why?
Mostly American-made PCTG — tough, USA-sourced, holds up to oils and solvents on the bench. In some cases where strength matters less, we use American-made PLA+.
Want the science?
- 5–10x tougher than PETG — flexible, won't shatter under stress
- Handles heat up to 90–95°C, resists oils, solvents, and cleaners
- No heated enclosure needed, minimal warping, crystal clear when needed
- BPA-free, recyclable, often food-safe grade
Will it mark up or scratch my gun?
The PCTG and PLA+ we use is much softer than your weapon — no, it will not scratch it.
Care & Use
How do I clean/store the tool?
Just wipe it off with a soft, clean cloth. For tougher stains, water and dish soap will work.
Any weight limit or rough-use warning?
These are shop tools, not load-bearing parts. A few tips:
- Don't use as a hammer, pry bar, or drop repeatedly
- Snug in the vise is fine — don't crank down max force
- Avoid leaving in a hot car or direct sun for long — PCTG softens above ~90°C
- Normal gun-cleaning solvents are fine; avoid harsh industrial chemicals
Custom 3D Printing Service
What file type do I need to send?
.stl or .3mf
How long does a print take?
We'll contact you and let you know an estimated time.
Can you print any design, or are some not allowed?
If it's not copyrighted, generally yes — with some exceptions. We don't print firearm receivers/frames, auto sears, suppressor parts, or anything regulated under the NFA, and no explicit/adult content.
What if my part needs support or design help — do you do that?
At this time we do not offer those services.
Shop-Wide
Why buy from you, not a big shop?
We can offer much faster, more personal service and communication. As a small business, we work harder to earn and keep your business.
Are you veteran-owned? Where are products made?
Yes — Fish Horn Creations is veteran and family-owned. Every product is designed, printed, and shipped right here in the USA.
What's your return/refund policy?
Contact us and we will make it right — refund or new product.
How fast do you ship, and where?
We currently ship within the USA only. Orders are made to order and typically ship in 2–5 business days, arriving 3–7 business days after that. Cost is calculated at checkout by weight and destination.
